In addition to using powerful products in your facility, there’s a lot you and your crew can do today to prevent the spread of illness-causing viruses tomorrow. Another way to help prevent viruses like COVID-19 from spreading is with proper hygiene and handwashing techniques.
While handwashing is a simple routine task that most people don’t think twice about, it’s often performed incorrectly, leaving germs and other bacteria on the hands that can spread illness and infections to others.
Along with proper techniques, these handwashing products are great for standing up to residual germs and bacteria:

As recommended by the CDC, other everyday steps you and your crew can take to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses like COVID-19 include:
- Avoiding close personal contact with infected individuals.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth when possible.
- Use good hygiene practices, including covering your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
- Stay home if you are sick to avoid spreading illnesses to others!
Common Symptoms May Include…
Like most viruses, there’s currently no treatment for COVID-19. However, you may alleviate symptoms by getting plenty of rest, drinking lots of fluids, or with over-the-counter flu and cold medications.
According to WHO and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), symptoms of COVID-19 may include:
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Runny nose
If you’ve experienced any of these symptoms persistently, or if the severity of them increases, consider consulting a doctor right away. Many of these symptoms may also be associated with the common cold or flu, but it’s always best to be certain when it comes to the spread of germs.
